The Importance of restringing
To get the best out of your game it is essential that you have appropriate strings in your racquet and that they are replaced regularly enough that the strings do not lose too much tension or break. A general rule of thumb is to string as many times in a year as you play in a week but no less than twice a year. You should also restring if the string bed has noticeably lost tension or if strings are obviously frayed and/or are grooved where the main and cross strings overlap. Rita can advise you on whether your strings need replacement and on the best string types and tensions for your game & racquet.
What we offer
Stringing is done by Rita's husband, John Paczian-Green (http://www.nzhautboy.com), who is an experienced tennis racquet stringer and a member of the United States Racquet Stringers Association (USRSA). All stringing is carried out using USRSA's recommended techniques and the latest USRSA stringing patterns for individual racquet models, which are updated quarterly by the USRSA.
We recommend and use Luxilon, Babolat, Prince and Technifibre strings, but a range of other brands can be obtained on request.
We aim for a quick turnaround, usually 24 hours or less.
